[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ performed four units of prayers, consisting of two units in each of the four prostrations.  

البيهقي:٦٣٠٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ نَمِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ يُخْبِرُ بِذَلِكَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ فَقُلْتُ لِعُرْوَةَ مَا فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ أَخُوكَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ مَا صَلَّى إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ مِثْلَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ إِذْ صَلَّى بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ أَجَلْ إِنَّهُ أَخْطَأَ السُّنَّةَ 6306 قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي أَرْبَعِ سَجَدَاتٍ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ دُونَ حَدِيثِ كَثِيرٍ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ مَعَ حَدِيثِ كَثِيرٍ دُونَ قِصَّةِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ
