[Machine] Abdullah begins by saying "Allahu Akbar " (God is the greatest) to start the prayer, then praises his Lord and prays upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . He continues to supplicate and say "Allahu Akbar" and do the same. Then, he recites and performs the bowing and standing, recites and praises his Lord, and prays upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . He continues to supplicate and do the same. This is the statement of Abdullah bin Mas'ood and it is attributed to him regarding the pause between every two takbeerat (saying Allahu Akbar) for remembrance of Allah when no different opinion was reported from him. We differ from him in the number of takbeerat and placing them before recitation in both rak'ahs (units of prayer), as universally practiced in Makkah and Madinah, and as done by the Muslims until our present day. And success is from Allah.
