The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked them, 'Did you kill him?' They replied, 'Yes.' Then he called for the sword with which he was killed while he was standing on the pulpit. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, 'Is this his food in the flies of the sword?' The group consisted of Abdullah bin Atik, Abdullah bin Unais, Aswad bin Khuzai, and Abu Qatada. According to what Zuhri supposes, and Zuhri doesn't preserve the fifth hadith. If this one was a sent one, then he is a good sent one. This is a well-known story among the leaders of expeditions, and it has been narrated from another perspective by Zuhri and narrated from Abu Al-Aswad by Urwah bin Zubair.
