[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ used to deliver the sermon on Fridays standing up, and a caravan from Sham arrived, so the people rushed towards it until only twelve men were left with him. Then this verse was revealed in Surah Al-Jumu'ah: "And when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you standing." [Surah Al-Jumu'ah 62:11]  

البيهقي:٥٦٢٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا فَجَاءَتْ عِيرٌ مِنَ الشَّامِ فَانْفَتَلَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى لَمْ يَبْقَ مَعَهُ إِلَّا اثْنَا عَشَرَ رَجُلًا فَأُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ الَّتِي فِي الْجُمُعَةِ {وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انْفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَائِمًا} [الجمعة 11]  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ وَرَوَاهُ زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ فَذَكَرَا أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ وَهُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Jabir b. Abdullah reported that the Apostle ﷺ was delivering the sermon on Friday in a standing posture when a caravan from Syria arrived. The people flocked towards it till no one was left (with the Holy Prophet) but twelve persons, and it was on this occasion that this verse in regard to Jumu'a was revealed." And when they see merchandise or sport. they break away to it and leave thee standing."
