[Machine] Al-Shafi'i in his Sunan Haramlah argues that excuse can be granted due to travel or rain. However, this is not a fixed ruling confirmed by Umar. The Sheik states that it is as Al-Shafi'i said, and the famous chain of transmission for this narration is what we have mentioned, but it is also a mursal narration from Abu Al-Alaya. He did not hear this from Umar. In another chain of transmission, it has been narrated that Al-Shafi'i referred to his text in some of his books.
