[Machine] The sun set on him while he was on a journey, so he prayed it at al-'Aqeeq. Ath-Thawri narrated it from Yahya bin Sa'id and he added eight miles to it. Ibn Jurayj also narrated it from Yahya bin Sa'id and he added, "I said, 'What time is that?' He said, 'A third of the night has passed, or maybe a quarter of it."' Yazid bin Harun also narrated it from Yahya bin Sa'id, from Nafi', who said, "He set out a number of miles, then he camped and prayed." Yahya said, "Nafi' mentioned this Hadith to me another time, and he said, 'He set out near a quarter of the night had passed, then he camped and prayed.'"  

غَرَبَتْ لَهُ الشَّمْسُ بِذَاتِ الْجَيْشِ فَصَلَّاهَا بِالْعَقِيقِ وَرَوَاهُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ وَزَادَ فِيهِ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَمْيَالٍ وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ وَزَادَ فِيهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ أِيُّ سَاعَةٍ تِلْكَ؟ قَالَ قَدْ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ رُبْعُهُ وَرَوَاهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ فَسَارَ أَمْيَالًا ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى قَالَ يَحْيَى وَذَكَرَ لِي نَافِعٌ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَقَالَ سَارَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ رُبْعِ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى
