[Machine] Someone from us, may God be pleased with him, said: "No one amongst us is more knowledgeable than Mu'awiyah. He is the most knowledgeable among us, whether it is one, five, seven, or more than that. Among them is Abu Ayoub, Khalid ibn Zaid from the Ansar."  

البيهقي:٤٧٩٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ كُرَيْبًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ رَأَى مُعَاوِيَةَ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ أَوْتَرَ بِرَكْعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ لَمْ يَزِدْ عَلَيْهَا فَأَخْبَرَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ

أَصَابَ أَيْ بُنَيَّ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنَّا أَعْلَمَ مِنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ هِيَ وَاحِدَةٌ أَوْ خَمْسٌ أَوْ سَبْعٌ إِلَى أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْوِتْرِ مَا شَاءَ وَمِنْهُمْ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ خَالِدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ؓ
