[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered when the Fajr prayer was being performed, and he passed by Ibn Qashib while he was praying. He said to Ibn Qashib, "Do you pray Fajr four (rak'ahs)?" That is what Sufyan said.  

البيهقي:٤٥٤٢وَقَدْ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ حِينَ أُقِيمَتْ صَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ فَمَرَّ بِابْنِ الْقَشِبِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَقَالَ لِابْنِ الْقَشِبِ أَتُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ أَرْبَعًا؟ كَذَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ
