[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah have mercy on a person who performs four units of prayer before Asr." I found this in my book, number 4486. Abu Ali al-Rudbary informed Abu Bakr ibn Dasa, who narrated from Abu Dawood al-Sijistani, who narrated from Ahmad ibn Ibrahim, who narrated from Abu Dawood, who narrated from Muhammad ibn Mihran al-Qurashi, who narrated from his grandfather Abu al-Muthanna, who narrated from Ibn Umar, who also mentioned it in a similar way. This is the authentic narration from Abu Ibrahim Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Muslim ibn Mihran al-Qurashi, who heard it from his grandfather Muslim ibn Mihran al-Qurashi (also known as Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna) because his kunya, Muslim, was mentioned by al-Bukhari in his Tareekh. Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Farisi narrated this from Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Asbahani, who narrated from Abu Ahmad ibn Faris, who narrated from Muhammad ibn Ismaeel. The sheikh said, "The statement of the narrator in the first chain from his father, I consider it to be a mistake, and Allah knows best."  

البيهقي:٤٤٨٥ – أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا أَبُو إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَحِمَ اللهُ امْرَأً صَلَّى قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ أَرْبَعًا كَذَا وَجَدْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِي 4486 وَأنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ هُوَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ الْقُرَشِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ هَذَا هُوَ الصَّحِيحُ وَهُوَ أَبُو إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ الْقُرَشِيُّ سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ مُسْلِمَ بْنَ مِهْرَانَ الْقُرَشِيَّ وَيُقَالُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى؛ لِأَنَّ كُنْيَةَ مُسْلِمٍ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ذَكَرَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي التَّارِيخِ أَنْبَأَ بِذَلِكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْفَارِسِيُّ أَنْبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ فَارِسٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَقَوْلُ الْقَائِلِ فِي الْإِسْنَادِ الْأَوَّلِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَرَاهُ خَطَأً وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
