[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not pray after Asr except if you pray before the sun sets." This is the narration of At-Tayalisi, and this despite the fact that Abu Dawud As-Sajistani differs.

البيهقي:٤٤٠٤ – أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ ابْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ (ح) وَأنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ هِلَالَ بْنَ يَسَافٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ الْأَجْدَعِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُصَلُّوا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ إِلَّا أَنْ تُصَلُّوا وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الطَّيَالِسِيِّ وَهَذَا وَإِنْ كَانَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ

أَخْرَجَهُ فِي كِتَابِ السُّنَنِ فَلَيْسَ بِمُخَرَّجٍ فِي كِتَابِ الْبُخَارِيِّ وَمُسْلِمٍ وَوَهْبُ بْنُ الْأَجْدَعِ لَيْسَ مِنْ شَرْطِهِمَا وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ وَاحِدٌ وَمَا مَضَى فِي النَّهْيِ عَنْهَا مُمْتَدٌّ إِلَى غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ حَدِيثُ عَدَدٍ فَهُوَ أَوْلَى أَنْ يَكُونَ مَحْفُوظًا وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ مَا يُخَالِفُ هَذَا وَرُوِيَ مَا يُوَافِقُهُ
