[Machine] Abu Ubayd said that this is a genius piece, which includes dyes and engravings, with one of them being a genius. It is called a genius because it is said to be related to a land called 'Abqar', where the face is worked on.

البيهقي:٤٢٨٣ – أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ فِي حَدِيثِ عُمَرَ ؓ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَسْجُدُ عَلَى عَبْقَرِيٍّ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ أَنَّهُ رَأَى عُمَرَ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ يَحْيَى هُوَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ وَلَكِنَّ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ

أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ قَوْلُهُ عَبْقَرِيٌّ هُوَ هَذِهِ الْبُسُطُ الَّتِي فِيهَا الْأَصْبَاغُ وَالنُّقُوشُ وَأَحَدُهَا عَبْقَرِيَّةٌ وَإِنَّمَا سُمِّيَ عَبْقَرِيًّا فِيمَا يُقَالُ إِنَّهُ نِسَبَةٌ إِلَى بِلَادٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا عَبْقَرٌ يُعْمَلُ بِهَا الْوَشْيُ
