[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying with his companions when he took off his shoes and placed them to his left. When his companions saw this, they also took off their shoes. After he finished praying, he asked them, "Why did you take off your shoes?" They replied, "We saw you take off yours, so we took off ours." He said, "Indeed, Jibril (Gabriel) informed me that they were impure. So, when any of you come to pray, he should look at his shoes. If they have any impurities or are dirty, he should wipe them off and pray in them." And it was narrated by Abu Abdullah Al-Haafiz, narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Ishaaq Al-Faqih, narrated by Muhammad ibn Ayyub, narrated by Musa ibn Isma'il, narrated by Hammad ibn Salamah, from Abu Na'amah, and mentioned it in his Isnad (chain of narrators) and its meaning. And he said, "When any of you comes to the mosque, he should look at his shoes. If he sees any impurities or harm on them, he should wipe it off and pray in them." And Abu Ali Al-Roudhbari narrated, narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Dasa, narrated by Abu Dawud, narrated by Musa ibn Isma'il, narrated by Hammad ibn Salamah, mentioned it in his Isnad (chain of narrators) and its meaning. And he said, "In both cases, if he sees any impurities or harm, he should wipe it off and pray in them." And Musa ibn Isma'il narrated, narrated by Aban, narrated by Qatadah, narrated by Bakr ibn Abdullah ibn Al-Muzani, from the Prophet ﷺ with this narration. And he said in both cases, "as a precaution."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ إِذْ خَلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ فَوَضَعَهُمَا عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ أَصْحَابُهُ خَلَعُوا نِعَالَهُمْ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ مَا لَكُمْ خَلَعْتُمْ نِعَالَكُمْ؟ قَالُوا رَأَيْنَاكَ خَلَعْتَ فَخَلَعْنَا قَالَ إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ بِهِمَا قَذَرًا فَقَالَ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى نَعْلَيْهِ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا أَذًى أَوْ قَالَ قَذَرًا فَلْيُمِطْهُ وَلْيُصَلِّ فِيهِمَا 4250 وَأنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أنبأ مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَعَامَةَ فَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ وَقَالَ فِيهِ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ فَإِنْ رَأَى فِي نَعْلَيْهِ قَذَرًا أَوْ أَذًى فَلْيَمْسَحْهُ وَلْيُصَلِّ فِيهِمَا 4251 وَأنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ فَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ وَقَالَ فِيهِ الْمَوْضِعَيْنِ قَذَرًا أَوْ قَالَ أَذًى وَقَالَ فَلْيَمْسَحْهُ وَلْيُصَلِّ فِيهِمَا 4252 قَالَ وَثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا أَبَانُ ثنا قَتَادَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِهَذَا وَقَالَ فِي الْمَوْضِعَيْنِ خَبَثًا
