bayhaqi:4108Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Ismāʿīl b. Aḥmad al-Jurjānī > Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan al-ʿAsqalānī > Ḥarmalah > ʿAbdullāh b. Wahb > ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. al-Qāsim from his father > ʿĀʾishah

Whenever anyone of us got her menses, she, on becoming clean, used to take hold of the blood spot and rub the blood off her garment, and pour water over it and wash that portion thoroughly and sprinkle water over the rest of the garment. After that she would pray in (with) it. (Using translation from Bukhārī 308)   

البيهقي:٤١٠٨أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ

كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا تَحِيضُ ثُمَّ تَقْرُصُ الدَّمَ مِنْ ثَوْبِهَا عِنْدَ طُهْرِهَا فَتَغْسِلُهُ وَتَنْضَحُ عَلَى سَائِرِهِ ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي فِيهِ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ أصْبَغَ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ

"One of us used to menstruate, then rub the blood off her garment when she became pure again, and wash it, and sprinkle water over the rest of the garment, then perform prayer in it."
