It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, we want to come to the mosque, but the path that we walk upon is impure." The Messenger of Allah said: "Some parts of the earth purify others." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 532)   

البيهقي:٤١٠٣ – أنبأ أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٌ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْيَشْكُرِيُّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ إِنَّا نُرِيدُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَنَطَأُ الطَّرِيقَ النَّجِسَةَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الطُّرُقُ تُطَهِّرُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا وَهَذَا إِسْنَادٌ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ
