[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Yusuf informed us, Abu Sa'id al-Arabi informed us, Hasan ibn Ali al-Za'farani narrated to us, about Asbat ibn Muhammad al-Qurashi, who narrated from Musa ibn Ubaydah al-Rabathi, who narrated from Ibn Hunein, who narrated from his father, who narrated from Ali ibn Abi Talib, who narrated from the Prophet ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Ali, the likeness of one who does not complete his prayer is like that of a pregnant woman who carries a load, but when her delivery is due, she drops it and neither gives birth nor carries the load. And the likeness of a worshipper is like that of a merchant whose profit is not released until his capital is released. Similarly, the optional prayer of a worshipper is not accepted until he fulfills his obligatory prayer." Musa ibn Ubaydah is not relied upon in narration, as there is disagreement about his credibility. It was reported by Zaid ibn al-Hubab and Asbat ibn Muhammad in the same manner, and it was also narrated by Sulayman ibn Bilal from Musa ibn Ubaydah, from Salih ibn Suwaid, from Ali, in the same manner, and it is considered elevated narration if it is deemed authentic, as it is.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ (ح) وَأنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ثنا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ حُنَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يَا عَلِيُّ مَثَلُ الَّذِي لَا يُتِمُّ صَلَاتَهُ كَمَثَلِ حُبْلَى حَمَلَتْ فَلَمَّا دَنَا نِفَاسُهَا أَسْقَطَتْ فَلَا هِيَ ذَاتُ وَلَدٍ وَلَا هِيَ ذَاتُ حَمْلٍ وَمَثَلُ الْمُصَلِّي كَمَثَلِ التَّاجِرِ لَا يَخْلُصُ لَهُ رِبْحُهُ حَتَّى يَخْلُصَ لَهُ رَأْسُ مَالِهِ كَذَلِكَ الْمُصَلِّي لَا تُقْبَلُ نَافِلَتُهُ حَتَّى يُؤَدِّي الْفَرِيضَةَ مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةٍ لَا يُحْتَجُّ بِهِ وَقَدِ اخْتُلِفَ عَلَيْهِ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ فَرَوَاهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ وَأَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ هَكَذَا وَرَوَاهُ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ كَذَلِكَ مَرْفُوعًا وَهُوَ إِنْ صَحَّ كَمَا
