[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that Dawud ﷺ prostrated for repentance, and we prostrate in gratitude. The honorable Imam Abu Al-Fath Al-Umari informed us, Abu Al-Hasan ibn Firas narrated to us, Abu Muhammad ibn Al-Muqri narrated to us, my grandfather narrated to us, Sufyan mentioned it, this is the preserved narration. It has been narrated in various ways from Umar ibn Dharr from his father from Sa'id ibn Jubayr as a connected chain, although it is not strong.  

البيهقي:٣٧٤١وَفِيمَا رَوَى الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي الْقَدِيمِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَجَدَهَا دَاوُدُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ لِتَوْبَةٍ وَنَسْجُدُهَا نَحْنُ شُكْرًا يَعْنِي ص أَخْبَرَنَاهُ الْإِمَامُ الشَّرِيفُ أَبُو الْفَتْحِ الْعُمَرِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ فِرَاسٍ ثنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ثنا جَدِّي ثنا سُفْيَانُ فَذَكَرَهُ هَذَا هُوَ الْمَحْفُوظُ مُرْسَلًا وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ أَوْجُهٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَوْصُولًا وَلَيْسَ بِقَوِيٍّ
