[Machine] I saw Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , prostrating on a pillow made of animal skin, with 3675 (hairs) in it. Abu Nasr ibn Qatadah informed us that Ahmad ibn Ishaq ibn Shayban al-Harawi informed us that Mu'adh ibn Najdah narrated to us, from Kamal bin Talhah, from Hammad bin Salamah, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Ali ibn Zaid, and Yunus ibn Ubayd, from Al-Hasan, from Umm al-Hasan, that she saw Umm Salamah praying on a pillow made of animal skin, which had an eye (a black spot) on it. He (Imam Bukhari) said: And Kamal bin Talhah narrated to us from Mubarak ibn Fadalah, from Al-Hasan, from his mother, with a similar narration. And it is also narrated from Ibn Abbas that he permitted prostrating on a pillow and a cushion.  

رَأَيْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تَسْجُدُ عَلَى وِسَادَةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ مِنْ رَمَدٍ بِهَا 3675 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ الْهَرَوِيُّ أنبأ مُعَاذُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ ثنا كَامِلُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أُمِّ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّهَا رَأَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ تُصَلِّي عَلَى وِسَادَةٍ مِنْ رَمَدٍ كَانَ بِعَيْنِهَا قَالَ وَثنا كَامِلٌ ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ بِمِثْلِهِ وَرُوِّيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ فِي السُّجُودِ عَلَى الْوِسَادَةِ وَالْمِخَدَّةِ
