[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , arrived at Khaybar at night. When morning came, he and the Muslims with him mounted their rides. The people of Khaybar came out with their plows and hoe-tines, as they used to do every day. But when they saw the Prophet, ﷺ , they said, "Muhammad, by Allah. Muhammad, by Allah. It is Thursday." Then they retreated. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Khaybar is ruined. Whenever we come to a people’s territory, it is surely a bad morning for those who have been warned." Anas bin Malik said, "I was standing next to Abu Talhah that day, and my knee touched the knee of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ." In another narration, he said, "Indeed, my foot touched the foot of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ." 3241 Abu Tahir al-Faqih informed us, Abu al-Fadl Abdus bin al-Husain bin Mansur reported from Abu Hatim al-Razi, who reported from al-Ansari, who reported from Humaid, who reported from Anas bin Malik, and he mentioned it in a similar way. Abu Hatim said, "I said to al-Ansari, 'What does "the Khamees" mean?' He said, 'The army.' And he used as evidence those who claimed that the thigh is not an awrah (private part) based on the story of Uthman, and the confirmed narrative from the story of Uthman regarding that."  

البيهقي:٣٢٤٠أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ مِلَاسٍ النُّمَيْرِيِّ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ ثنا مَرْوَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

انْتَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ لَيْلًا فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ رَكِبَ وَرَكِبَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مَعَهُ فَخَرَجَ أَهْلُ خَيْبَرَ بِمَسَاحِيهِمْ وَمَكَاتِلِهِمْ كَمَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فَلَمَّا بَصُرُوا بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالُوا مُحَمَّدٌ وَاللهِ مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ ثُمَّ رَجَعُوا هِرَابَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَأَنَا رَدِيفُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَإِنَّ رُكْبَتِي لَتَمَسُّ رُكْبَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ فِي الرِّوَايَةِ الْأُخْرَى وَإِنَّ قَدَمِي لَتَمَسُّ قَدِمَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ 3241 أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ عَبْدُوسُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ قُلْتُ لِلْأَنْصَارِيِّ مَا مَعْنَى الْخَمِيسِ؟ قَالَ الْجُنْدُ الْجَيْشُ وَاحْتَجَّ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ لَيْسَتْ بِعَوْرَةٍ بِشَيْءٍ يَرْوِيهِ فِي ذَلِكَ فِي قِصَّةِ عُثْمَانَ ؓ وَالثَّابِتُ مِنْ قِصَّةِ عُثْمَانَ فِي ذَلِكَ
