[Machine] Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, the companion of the Messenger of Allah, that the Messenger of Allah said:
"The best rows for men are the first rows, and the best rows for women are the last rows. He used to command men to straighten their rows in their prostration and command women to sit low in their prostration. He used to command men to place their right hand on their left during the Tashahhud, while he used to command women to sit cross-legged. He said, 'O women, do not raise your gazes in your prayer, for you might see the private parts of men.'"
This hadith was narrated to us by Abu Abdullah Al-Haafiz, who narrated to us from Abu Al-Abbas Muhammad bin Ya'qoob, who narrated to us from Al-Abbas bin Al-Waleed bin Mazyad Al-Bayrooti, who was informed by Muhammad bin Shu'ayb, who was informed by Abdul Rahman bin Sulaim, who was informed by Atta bin Ajlan, who was told by the Prophet. The first version and the second version of this hadith are well-known, while the version in between them is rejected. And Allah knows best.
