bayhaqi:3051Abū Ṭāhir al-Faqīh > Abū Bakr al-Qaṭṭān > Aḥmad b. Yūsuf > Yaʿlá b. ʿUbayd > ʿAbd al-Malik > ʿAṭāʾ > Raʾayt Ibn ʿUmar Dafaʿ a man > Maqāmih al--Adhī Ṣallá Fīh al-Maktūbah

[Machine] And he said, "I have only appointed you so that you may advance or delay." And it has been narrated from him with its meaning in regard to the Friday.  

البيهقي:٣٠٥١أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ؓ دَفَعَ رَجُلًا عَنْ مَقَامِهِ الَّذِي صَلَّى فِيهِ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ

وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا دَفَعْتُكَ لِتَقَدَّمَ أَوْ تَأَخَّرَ وَرُوِيَ عَنْهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ
