[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offering the prayer with two greetings. One greeting with his right hand saying, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah," and one greeting with his left hand saying, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, until the whiteness of his cheeks could be seen from here and here." So, I mentioned this hadith to Az-Zuhri and he said, "This is a hadith that I have not heard from the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." So, Isma'il bin Muhammad said to him, "Have you eaten the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?'' He said, "No.'' He said, "So, have you heard two-thirds of it?'' He said, "No.'' He said, "Then have you heard half of it?'' Az-Zuhri stood at half or two-thirds of it and said to him, "Put this hadith in what you have not heard.''  

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ تَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ تَسْلِيمَةً عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَتَسْلِيمَةً عَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدَّيْهِ مِنْ هَاهُنَا وَهَاهُنَا قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ فَقَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَكُلَّ حَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتَ؟ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ لَا قَالَ فَثُلُثَيْهِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَنِصْفَهُ؟ فَوَقَفَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عِنْدَ النِّصْفِ أَوْ عِنْدَ الثُّلُثِ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ اجْعَلْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِيمَا لَمْ تَسْمَعْ
