Caution: Translations of Quran and Ḥadīth may lead to possible misapplications and misinterpretations. [Machine] Listen to the Quran, for in prayer there is occupation. That imam will suffice you. It is only said to listen to the Quran for what is heard, not what is not heard. Alqamah said, "I prayed beside Abdullah and I did not know that he was reciting until he recited this verse aloud: 'And say, "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."' And we have narrated from Abdullah bin Ziyad al-Asadi that he said, "I prayed beside Abdullah bin Mas'ood behind the imam, and I heard him reciting during Dhuhr and Asr."
