Caution: Translations of Quran and Ḥadīth may lead to possible misapplications and misinterpretations. This site is intended for students of sacred knowledge that are proficient in comprehending classical Arabic and have a strong foundation in Islamic sciences. Also note that religious injunctions rely on several aspects beyond what one may glean through reading individual aḥādīth.

[Machine] The believer is in a state of attentiveness and listening to the Quran only during obligatory prayers, prescribed prayers, Fridays, the day of Eid, or the day of Sacrifice. This means that when the Quran is recited, you should listen and be silent. We have been narrated from another source that it is not strong in terms of authenticity that Ibn Abbas asked about this verse, and he said, "Is this for every reader?" He said, "No, but this is regarding the prayer."
