[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ saw a man praying and noticed that when he prostrated, his nose did not touch the ground. The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for one whose nose does not touch the ground, as long as the forehead touches it." Abu Bakr ibn al-Harith al-Faqih narrated to us that Ali ibn Umar al-Hafidh informed us that Abdullah ibn Sulaiman ibn al-Ash'ath narrated to us that al-Jarrah ibn Makhlad narrated to us that Abu Qutaybah mentioned the hadith of Shu'bah and al-Thawri, each one of them separately mentioning it in its meaning. Then Abu Bakr said, Abdullah ibn Sulaiman ibn al-Ash'ath did not narrate it from Sufyan and Shu'bah except through Abu Qutaybah, and the correct narration is from Asim, from Ikrimah, as Mursal.  

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي فَإِذَا سَجَدَ لَمْ يَمَسَّ أَنْفُهُ الْأَرْضَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا يَمَسُّ أَنْفُهُ الْأَرْضَ مَا يَمَسُّ الْجَبِينُ 2653 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ ثنا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ثنا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ شُعْبَةَ وَالثَّوْرِيِّ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى الِانْفِرَادِ بِمَعْنَاهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ لَمْ يُسْنِدْهُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَشُعْبَةَ إِلَّا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ وَالصَّوَابُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ مُرْسَلًا
