[Machine] The Prophet (PBUH) used to say when starting the prayer, "There is no deity except You, glorified are You. I have wronged myself and have done evil, so forgive me. Indeed, none forgives sins except You. I have directed my face to the one who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah. Indeed, my prayer, my rights of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds, with no partner. And thus I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims." Al-Shafi'i narrated from Hushaym, without hearing from any of his companions, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Al-Khaleel, from Ali. If it is preserved, it is possible that Abu Ishaq heard it from both of them. Allah knows best. In the hadith of Abdul Aziz bin Abi Salamah, "I am the first of the Muslims" is narrated at the beginning, and likewise in some narrations from Musa bin Uqbah, and in some of them "I am from the Muslims" is narrated. Al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir and a group of scholars of Madinah were commanded to do so." Abu Abdullah Al-Hafiz said: "I heard Abu Abbas Muhammad bin Ya'qub saying: I heard Al-Abbas bin Muhammad Al-Duri saying: I heard Yahya bin Ma'een saying: Nadhr bin Shumayl (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The evil is not to be explained to you, and the evil is not to be approached by you."  

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَفْتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَعَمِلْتُ سُوءًا فَاغْفِرْ لِي إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَقَدْ حَكَاهُ الشَّافِعِيُّ عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ سَمَاعٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ فَإِنْ كَانَ مَحْفُوظًا فَيُحْتَمَلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُمَا وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ وَفِي حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَكَذَلِكَ فِي بَعْضِ الرِّوَايَاتِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ وَفِي بَعْضِهَا وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ يَجْعَلُ مَكَانَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أَمَرَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ وَجِمَاعَةٌ مِنْ فُقَهَاءِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَالشَّرُّ لَيْسَ إِلَيْكَ تَفْسِيرُهُ وَالشَّرُّ لَا يُتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ إِلَيْكَ
