[Machine] He saw the Prophet ﷺ when he stood up for prayer, raising his hands until they were level with his shoulders, and his thumbs reached his ears. Then he said "Allahu Akbar". Ath-Thawri, Shu'bah, Abu 'Awanah, Zaidah ibn Qudamah, Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal, and a group of narrators from 'Asim ibn Kulayb all narrated this hadith, saying that he raised his hands until they were level with his ears. Some of them said that his hands reached the level of his ears. Sharik also narrated from 'Asim that he raised his hands level with his ears. Similarly, this is also mentioned in the narrations from 'Abdul Jabbar ibn Wa'il, from Alqamah ibn Wa'il, from Wa'il ibn Hujr. In another narration, from Malik ibn Al-Huwairith, from the Prophet ﷺ , it is stated that he raised his hands until they reached his ears. And in another authentic narration, it is stated that he raised his hands until his earlobes.
