[Machine] She came to Aisha in the women of the people of Kufa, so we said, "O Mother of the Believers, we ask you about the timing of prayers." She said, "Sit down," so we sat down. When it was the hour that you call midday, she got up and prayed with us while standing in the middle. When she finished, I said to her, "O Mother of the Believers, we pray this prayer in our lands at midday." She said, "This is the prayer of the family of Muhammad ﷺ ." Then we sat down. When it was the hour that you call between the prayers, she prayed Asr with us. We said to her, "O Mother of the Believers, we pray this prayer in our lands between the prayers." She said, "This is the prayer of the family of Muhammad ﷺ . The family of Muhammad ﷺ does not pray Asr." She said, "If it was someone other than Aisha, we would think that she already prayed Maghrib before it was due. But I know that Aisha does not pray except at the time when it becomes due and she recited aloud in Maghrib, so women from the people of Sham sought permission from her and she said, 'Do not give them permission, as they are the ones who frequent the public baths.'"  

أَنَّهَا أَتَتْ عَائِشَةَ فِي نِسْوَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ فَقُلْنَا يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نَسْأَلُكِ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِ الصَّلَوَاتِ قَالَتْ اجْلِسْنَ فَجَلَسْنَا فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ السَّاعَةُ الَّتِي تَدْعُونَهَا نِصْفَ النَّهَارِ قَامَتْ فَصَلَّتْ بِنَا وَهِيَ قَائِمَةٌ وَسْطَنَا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَتْ قُلْتُ لَهَا يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنَا نَدْعُو هَذِهِ فِي بِلَادِنَا نِصْفَ النَّهَارِ قَالَتْ هَذِهِ صَلَاتُنَا آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ ثُمَّ جَلَسْنَا فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ السَّاعَةُ الَّتِي تَدْعُونَهَا بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ صَلَّتْ بِنَا الْعَصْرَ فَقُلْنَا لَهَا يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنَّا نَدْعُو هَذِهِ فِي بِلَادِنَا بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ قَالَتْ هَذِهِ صَلَاتُنَا آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ إِنَّا آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ لَا نُصَلِّي الصَّفْرَاءَ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ جَلَسْنَا فَلَوْ كَانَ غَيْرَ عَائِشَةَ لَظَنَنَّا أَنَّهَا قَدْ صَلَّتِ الْمَغْرِبَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَجِبَ وَلَكِنْ قَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنْ عَائِشَةَ لَا تُصَلِّي إِلَّا عِنْدَ الْوَقْتِ حِينَ وَجَبَتْ وَجَهَرَتْ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ فَاسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَيْهَا نِسْوَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ فَقَالَتْ لَا تَأْذَنِي لَهُنَّ صَوَاحِبِ الْحَمَّامَاتِ
