البيهقي:١٩٦٧١ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ آدَمَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ وَهِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى أَهْلَ مَاءٍ فَاسْتَسْقَاهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْقُوهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ عَطَشًا فَأَغْرَمَهُمْ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ دِيَتَهُ 19672 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بِمَعْنَى هَذَا قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَقُولُ إِنْ أَبَوْا

أَنْ يُطْعِمُوهُ وَخَشِيَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ قَاتَلَهُمْ
