[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade theft, looting, and consuming any animal with canine teeth from among wild animals. Abu Ubaid said that "mujaththamah" refers to the trapped animals, which can also include birds, rabbits, and similar animals that are trapped on the ground or elsewhere if necessary.  

البيهقي:١٩٤٨٧أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَبَابَةَ الشَّاهِدُ بِهَمَذَانَ أنبأ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ ؓ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْخَطْفَةِ وَالنُّهْبَةِ وَالْمُجَثَّمَةِ وَعَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْمُجَثَّمَةُ هِيَ الْمَصْبُورَةُ أَيْضًا وَلَكِنَّهَا لَا تَكُونُ إِلَّا فِي الطَّيْرِ وَالْأَرَانِبِ وَأَشْبَاهِ ذَلِكَ مِمَّا يُجَثَّمُ بِالْأَرْضِ وَغَيْرِهَا إِذَا لَزِمَهُ
