[Machine] About the chopping of the night and the reaping of the night and the sacrifice at night, and indeed this was due to the intensity of the situation of the people. A man used to do it at night, then he was forbidden from doing so, but then he was allowed to do it again.  

البيهقي:١٩٢٠٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ نَهَى

عَنْ جِدَادِ اللَّيْلِ وَحَصَادِ اللَّيْلِ وَالْأَضْحَى بِاللَّيْلِ وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ شِدَّةِ حَالِ النَّاسِ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَفْعَلُهُ لَيْلًا فَنَهَى عَنْهُ ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ فِي ذَلِكَ
