[Machine] "There was a man from the Asbaziyyin tribe who belonged to the people of Bahrain, and they were Majus (Zoroastrians). He migrated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and stayed with him for a while, then he left. I asked him, 'What did Allah and His Messenger decree for you?' He replied, 'Evil.' I asked, 'How so?' He said, 'Either Islam or death.' Abdullah ibn Awf said that they accepted the jizyah (tax) from them. Ibn Abbas said, 'The people followed the words of Abdullah ibn Awf and abandoned what I had heard from the Asbaziyyin.' The scholar (may Allah have mercy on him) said, 'Indeed, it was a good thing that they did. They abandoned the report from the Asbaziyyin, the Majusi, and they accepted the report of Abdullah ibn Awf, that he may rule between them based on the statement of the Asbaziyyin, and then revelation would come to him accepting the jizyah from them, so he would accept it as Abdullah ibn Awf said."
