[Machine] And Omar bin Al-Khattab replied to them: "Indeed, the spoils are for those who witnessed the battle."  

البيهقي:١٧٩٥٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا آدَمُ ثنا شُعْبَةُ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَارِقَ بْنَ شِهَابٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْبَصْرَةِ غَزَوْا أَهْلَ نَهَاوَنْدَ فَأَمَدُّوهُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ فَقَدِمُوا عَلَيْهِمْ بَعْدَ مَا ظَهَرُوا عَلَى الْعَدُوِّ فَطَلَبَ أَهْلُ الْكُوفَةِ الْغَنِيمَةَ وَأَرَادَ أَهْلُ الْبَصْرَةِ أَنْ لَا يَقْسِمُوا لِأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ مِنَ الْغَنِيمَةِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ لِعَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ أَيُّهَا الْأَجْدَعُ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُشَارِكَنَا فِي غَنَائِمِنَا؟ قَالَ

وَكَانَتْ أُذُنُ عَمَّارٍ جُدِعَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَتَبُوا إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ عُمَرُ إِنَّ الْغَنِيمَةَ لِمَنْ شَهِدَ الْوَقْعَةَ
