[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, you have left behind in the city a group of people whom you have not traveled with nor have you spent from your wealth except that they are with you in it." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, how can they be with us when they are in the city?" He said: "The excuse has detained them."  

البيهقي:١٧٨٢٠ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَقَدْ تَرَكْتُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَقْوَامًا مَا سِرْتُمْ مَسِيرًا وَلَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ نَفَقَةٍ إِلَّا وَهُمْ مَعَكُمْ فِيهِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَكَيْفَ يَكُونُونَ مَعَنَا وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ؟ قَالَ حَبَسَهُمُ الْعُذْرُ  

أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ زُهَيْرٍ وَحَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَقَالَ مُوسَى عَنْ حَمَّادٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ

Anas bin Malik reported on the authority of his father, The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said “ You left behind some people in Madeenah who did not fail to be with you wherever you went and whatever you spent (of your goods) and whatever valley you crossed. They asked Apostle of Allaah ﷺ how can they be with us when they are still in Madeenah? He replied “They were declined by a valid excuse.”  

أبو داود:٢٥٠٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
