[Machine] In his saying, "So whoever gives Zakah [charity] for purification," [Quran 5:45]. It was said that it removes with it an equal amount of sins. Al-Shafi'i said, and it was narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that forgiving the retribution is an expiation or he said something that encourages forgiveness for it.  

البيهقي:١٦٠٤٨وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنْ طَارِقٍ عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو
