[Machine] P: The Prophet ﷺ said, "When a servant of yours prepares food and brings it to you, having cooked it and smoked it, let him sit with you and eat. If the food is not sufficient, he should put a morsel or two in his hand." Dawud bin Qais said, "The 'morsel' is a small mouthful."  

البيهقي:١٥٧٨١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْفَرَّاءُ أنبأ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْمُلَائِيُّ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ قَالَا ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا صَنَعَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكِمْ لَهُ طَعَامًا فَجَاءَ بِهِ قَدْ وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْ فَإِنْ كَانَ الطَّعَامُ مَشْفُوهًا قَلِيلًا فَلْيَضَعْ فِي يَدِهِ أُكْلَةً أَوْ أُكْلَتَيْنِ قَالَ دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْأُكْلَةُ اللُّقْمَةُ

When the slave of anyone amongst you prepares food for him and he serves him after having sat close to (and undergoing the hardship of) heat and smoke, he should make him (the slave) sit along with him and make him eat (along with him), and if the food seems to run short, then he should spare some portion for him (from his own share) - (another narrator) Dawud said:" i. e. a morsel or two". 4097  

مسلم:١٦٦٣ – وَحَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا صَنَعَ لأَحَدِكُمْ خَادِمُهُ طَعَامَهُ ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ بِهِ وَقَدْ وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْ فَإِنْ كَانَ الطَّعَامُ مَشْفُوهًا قَلِيلاً فَلْيَضَعْ فِي يَدِهِ مِنْهُ أُكْلَةً أَوْ أُكْلَتَيْنِ قَالَ دَاوُدُ يَعْنِي لُقْمَةً أَوْ لُقْمَتَيْنِ

أبو داود:٣٨٤٦ – حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا صَنَعَ لأَحَدِكُمْ خَادِمُهُ طَعَامًا ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ بِهِ وَقَدْ وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ لِيَأْكُلَ فَإِنْ كَانَ الطَّعَامُ مَشْفُوهًا فَلْيَضَعْ فِي يَدِهِ مِنْهُ أَكْلَةً أَوْ أَكْلَتَيْنِ
