bayhaqi:15759 – [Chain 1] Abū al-Ḥusayn b. Bishrān And ʾAbū al-Ḥusayn b. al-Faḍl al-Qaṭṭān> Ismāʿīl b. Muḥammad al-Ṣaffār > Saʿdān [Chain 2] Abū al-Ḥusayn b. [Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ after her husband divorced her, and she wanted to take custody of her child. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked for advice, and the man said, "Who would prevent me from being with my child?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the son, "Choose whichever of them you want." So, he chose his mother, and she went away with him.  

البيهقي:١٥٧٥٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ وَأَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ قَالَا أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا سَعْدَانُ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّزَّازُ ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَدْ طَلَّقَهَا زَوْجُهَا فَأَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ وَلَدَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَهِمَا فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ مَنْ يَحُولُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ وَلَدِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلِابْنِ اخْتَرْ أَيَّهُمَا شِئْتَ فَاخْتَارَ أُمَّهُ فَذَهَبَتْ بِهِ

[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and told him that her husband had divorced her, and she wanted to take her child.
