[Machine] He has a loyal follower. Indeed, this is rare among women. And the situation is critical. So Ibn Abbas said, "Yes."  

البيهقي:١٤١٦٣وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثنا عِمْرَانُ وَابْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدٌ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ مُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ فَرَخَّصَ فِيهَا فَقَالَ

لَهُ مَوْلًى لَهُ إِنَّمَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ وَفِي النِّسَاءِ قِلَّةٌ وَالْحَالُ شَدِيدٌ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ نَعَمْ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَشَّارٍ

I heard Ibn ʿAbbas (giving a verdict) when he was asked about the Mut'a with the women, and he permitted it (Nikah-al-Mut'a). On that a freed slave of his said to him, "That is only when it is very badly needed and women are scarce." On that, Ibn ʿAbbas said, "Yes."
