[Machine] Abu Ubayd, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Some of them say 'al-haqaq' which means 'dispute'. It means that the umm al-asabah (the maternal aunt) is disputed among them. So the correct understanding is that it is only perception, because it is the ultimate limit of infancy. Therefore, when women reach that limit, the asabah (the paternal aunt) is more entitled to the woman than her mother if they are forbidden (marriage-wise), and they can also marry her if they wish.
