[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "People should not restrict me in any matter. I am not allowed to permit anything for them except what Allah has permitted, and I am not allowed to prohibit anything for them except what Allah has prohibited." Imam Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "This is a disconnected narration. But if it is confirmed, it is clear in it that he is upon what I have described, if Allah wills. He said: 'People should not restrict me,' and he did not say 'They should not restrict me.' Rather, he commanded that people should restrict themselves from him, and Allah, may His praise be glorified, commanded that."
