bayhaqi:13355Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ And ʾAbū Saʿīd b. Abū ʿAmr > Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > Aḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Jabbār > Yūnus b. Bukayr > Zakariyyā b. Abū Zāʾidah > al-Shaʿbī

[Machine] And he gifted some of his wives to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He entered upon some of them and divorced others, but he did not approach them until he passed away. After him, none of them married except Umm Sharik. This is what Allah the Exalted said, "You may put off whom you please of them, and you may take to you whom you please, and whom you desire of those whom you had separated provisionally, no blame attaches to you." [Surah Al-Ahzab 51] Thus spoke Ash-Sha'bi.  

البيهقي:١٣٣٥٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ

وَهَبْنَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نِسَاءٌ أَنْفُسَهُنَّ فَدَخَلَ بِبَعْضِهِنَّ وَأَرْجَى بَعْضَهُنَّ وَلَمْ يَقْرَبْهُنَّ حَتَّى تُوُفِّيَ وَلَمْ يَنْكِحْنَ بَعْدَهُ مِنْهُنَّ أُمُّ شَرِيكٍ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى {تُرْجِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُؤْوِي إِلَيْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَمَنِ ابْتَغَيْتَ مِمَّنْ عَزَلْتَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكَ} [الأحزاب 51] كَذَا قَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ
