[Machine] Ali was brought the imported calf, so he killed it and made his inheritance for his family from the Muslims. The Christians gave him thirty thousand in return, but he refused to sell them and burned them.  

البيهقي:١٢٤٦١وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ

أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ؓ أُتِيَ بِالْمُسْتَوْرِدِ الْعِجْلِيِّ فَقَتَلَهُ وَجَعَلَ مِيرَاثَهُ لِأَهْلِهِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَأَعْطَاهُ النَّصَارَى بِجِيفَتِهِ ثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا فَأَبَى أَنْ يَبِيعَهُمْ إِيَّاهُ وَأَحْرَقَهُ
