[Machine] Two men testified before him, one testified to 1,300 and the other testified to 1,000, so he ruled against him with 1,000. He said, "You rule against me when their testimonies differ?" He said, "1,000 is correct." Sulaiman said, "Indeed, they agreed upon 1,000."
شَهِدَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلَانِ شَهِدَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَلَى أَلْفٍ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ وَشَهِدَ الْآخَرُ عَلَى أَلْفٍ فَقَضَى عَلَيْهِ بِأَلْفٍ فَقَالَ تَقْضِي عَلَيَّ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَفَتْ شَهَادَتُهُمَا؟ قَالَ اسْتَقَامَتْ عَلَى أَلْفٍ وَقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ إِنَّهُمَا قَدِ اجْتَمَعَا عَلَى أَلْفٍ
