[Machine] If you are traveling and you are in a state of ritual impurity or you are not in a state of ablution, and you fear that if you perform ablution you will die from thirst, then do not perform ablution and restrain yourself. And we narrated it from Al-Hasan Al-Basri, and Ata, and Mujahid, and Tawus, and others.  

البيهقي:١١٠٩وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ أنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

إِذَا كُنْتَ مُسَافِرًا وَأَنْتَ جُنُبٌ أَوْ أَنْتَ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ فَخِفْتَ إِنْ تَوَضَّأْتَ أَنْ تَمُوتَ مَنَ الْعَطَشِ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْهُ وَاحْبِسْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَرُوِّينَاهُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ وَعَطَاءٍ وَمُجَاهِدٍ وَطَاوُسٍ وَغَيْرِهِمْ
