Why are you weeping when Allah has granted victory to you and caused you to prevail over your enemies and granted you joy? 'Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ʿAccumulation of worldly luxuries does not become available to any people but Allah, may He Be glorified and exalted, stirs up among them enmity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection, and that concerns me.ʿ  

أحمد:٩٣ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِ لَبِيبَةَ يُحَدِّثُعَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ الدُّؤَلِيِّ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَعِنْدَهُ نَفَرٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ فَأَرْسَلَ عُمَرُ إِلَى سَفَطٍ أُتِيَ بِهِ مِنْ قَلْعَةٍ مِنَ الْعِرَاقِ فَكَانَ فِيهِ خَاتَمٌ فَأَخَذَهُ بَعْضُ بَنِيهِ فَأَدْخَلَهُ فِي فِيهِ فَانْتَزَعَهُ عُمَرُ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ بَكَى عُمَرُ فَقَالَ

لَهُ مَنْ عِنْدَهُ لِمَ تَبْكِي وَقَدْ فَتَحَ اللهُ لَكَ وَأَظْهَرَكَ عَلَى عَدُوِّكَ وَأَقَرَّ عَيْنَكَ؟ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تُفْتَحُ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى أَحَدٍ إِلَّا أَلْقَى الله ﷻ بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَنَا أُشْفِقُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ

"عَنْ أَبِى سنانٍ الدُّؤَلى أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى عُمَرَ وعندَهُ نفرٌ من المهاجرين (الأولين، فأرسَلَ إلى سَفَطٍ أتى به من قلعة العراق فكان فيه خاتم فأخذه بعضُ بنيه) فأدخَلَهُ فِى فيهِ فانتزعهُ عمرُ منهُ ثم بكى عمرُ، فقال له مَنْ عنده: لِمَ تبكى وقَد فتح اللَّه بك،

وَأَظْهَرَكَ على عَدُوِّكَ، وأَقَر عَيْنَيكَ؟ فقال: إنى سمعت رسولَ اللَّه ﷺ يقول: لا تُفْتحُ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى أَحدٍ إِلَا أَلْقَى اللَّه بينهمُ العداوةَ والبغضاءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ القيامةِ وأنَا أُشْفِقُ من ذَلِكَ".
