It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that The Prophet ﷺ used to pray Witr at the time of the adhan.  

أحمد:٩٢٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ عِنْدَ الْأَذَانِ

النسائي:١٦٨٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ عَلَى الْبَعِيرِ  

ahmad:884 – Aswad > Sharīk > Abū Isḥāq > al-Ḥārith > ʿAlī

The Prophet ﷺ used to pray Witr at the time of the adhan and pray two rakʿahs at the time of the iqamah.  

أحمد:٨٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ عِنْدَ الْأَذَانِ وَيُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ عِنْدَ الْإِقَامَةِ
