[Machine] Abu Hurairah came to Medina with a group of his people while the Prophet ﷺ was in Khaybar. Siba' bin 'Urftah was appointed as the governor of Medina. I went to see him and found him reciting in the Fajr prayer the verses 'Kha, Ha, Ya, Ain, Sad' in the first Rak'a, and 'Woe tobes every slanderer, defamer' in the second Rak'a. Then Siba' bin 'Urftah got up and delivered a sermon, saying, "Amma ba'du." He then narrated the story of when we prayed behind Khubaib. He mentioned the story of Muslim prisoners of war whom they also made slaves of. He mentioned that Tubba', a Yemenite king, attacked them when they were worshipping idols. A Muslim entered the tribe of Bani Hanifa and started calling the people to Allah, and they accepted Islam. The Prophet ﷺ sent some men in their pursuit. Then Tubba' sent troops, consisting of thousands of soldiers, against them. The Prophet ﷺ sent a troop of Ansari men who fought till they were martyred. The Prophet ﷺ called us to gather and assigned us some provisions for the journey. We set out and reached Khaybar when the Prophet ﷺ had already conquered it. The Muslims welcomed him and shared their spoils with him.
