It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the people to raise their voices over one another when reciting Qurʿan between Maghrib and ʿIshaʿ.  

أحمد:٧٥٢حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يَجْهَرَ الْقَوْمُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِالْقُرْآنِ
