Concern over the verse: "Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it"

ahmad:70 – Yaʿlā b. ʿUbayd > Ismāʿīl > Abū Bakr al-Thaqafī

[AI] O Messenger of Allah, how can there be righteousness after this verse: "Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it"? Then he mentioned the hadith.

أحمد:٧٠ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ:

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ الصَّلَاحُ بَعْدَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: ﴿مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ﴾؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.
