[Machine] He put on a gold ring, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at it as if he disliked it, so he threw it away. Then he put on an iron ring and said, "This is even dirtier," so he threw it away. Then he put on a ring made of paper, and the Prophet ﷺ remained silent about it.  

أحمد:٦٩٧٧حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ

أَنَّهُ لَبِسَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَهُ فَطَرَحَهُ ثُمَّ لَبِسَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا أَخْبَثُ وَأَخْبَثُ فَطَرَحَهُ ثُمَّ لَبِسَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ
