[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have relatives who keep ties with me and cut them off, and I forgive them while they oppress me, and I am kind to them while they mistreat me. Should I continue to treat them kindly?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "No, in that case you should abandon them altogether. However, maintain your good character and keep ties with them, for surely Allah will always support you as long as you remain upon that path."  

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي ذَوِي أَرْحَامٍ أَصِلُ وَيَقْطَعُونَ وَأَعْفُو وَيَظْلِمُونَ وَأُحْسِنُ وَيُسِيئُونَ أَفَأُكَافِئُهُمْ؟ قَالَ لَا إِذًا تُتْرَكُونَ جَمِيعًا وَلَكِنْ خُذْ بِالْفَضْلِ وَصِلْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يَزَالَ مَعَكَ مِنَ اللهِ ظَهِيرٌ مَا كُنْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
